Brainstorming

Describe what happened in the brainstorming session.

After showing the user flow to research participants, it was apparent that there needed to be more information about past students and their experiences. I plan on solving this by adding descriptions about past and ongoing projects that previous students have/are currently working on.

User testing also showed that there was some confusion between Home and Course Home. This has been a tricky aspect to showcase because the Course Home can only be seen after signing up. After some discussion, I have decided that this will be solved through levels of hierarchy and arrows in the user flow.

Furthermore, it is important for potential students to know what kind of opportunities are out in the world. I decided to add a section under Careers that will list the companies that students have worked for after graduation.

Describe anything new or interesting you learned from working with your users.

I have learned that users often see things from a different perspective. This is beneficial because it allowed me to see problems in the user flow. The discussion allowed me to brainstorm solutions to the problems.
